Frequently Asked Questions

Who should contact you?
Any home owner, landlord, property manager or Owners Corporation manager should contact us if there is work to be done on a property.

Will you provide a written estimation?
Yes, before we get started we will send you a quote that includes materials and labour, so you know what the costs are most likely to be from beginning to end. We say “most likely” because in construction there are occasionally some surprises that come up, like finding asbestos or that the house needs rewiring, however this is very rare and we will always try to give you an accurate and full estimate of the costs before works begin.

What areas do you service?
Ruby & Gold Projects is based in Melbourne’s Caulfield area, and does most of its work in surrounding suburbs including (but not limited to) Caulfield North, Caulfield South, Balaclava, St Kilda, St Kilda East, Prahran, Windsor, Armadale, Elwood, Elsternwick, Ripponlea, Brighton, Gardenvale, Glen Huntly, Malvern, Malvern East, Glen Iris, Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Bentleigh and Oakleigh. If you live outside these areas but have work to be done, please contact us today about your requirements.

Don’t know where to start?
Even if you don’t have a clue where to start with your renovation project, we can help you with design ideas, selecting materials and working within your budget to achieve your desired results.

Can we see recent examples of your work?
Please contact us and we’ll be happy to send you photos of jobs that we have recently completed, or we can arrange for you to speak with or visit some of our recent clients.

How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since May 2018, and have many happy clients across Melbourne.

Are you fully insured?
We have contract works and public liability insurance of up to $5 million. If you need a copy of our Certificate of Insurance, please just email us with a request.

What are your payment terms?
Unless otherwise stated or agreed upon, payment is due within 14 days of invoice. You can pay by bank transfer (details will be on the invoice), or by cheque. Sometimes a deposit is required before beginning larger jobs, or if there are a lot of materials to be purchased for the job, however for smaller jobs payment is usually due within 14 days of completion.

Who will supervise the work?
Founder and business owner Danielle Goldschlager will project manage all aspects of your renovation project from beginning to end, so you have one contact throughout the entire process and don’t need to worry about a thing. Danielle prides herself on understanding the needs of her clients, being extremely organised and paying close attention to detail. Rest assured that your job is in good hands.
